End of suffering for pension money

The government employees had to suffer in various ways to collect pension money at the end of the job, however, the Ministry of Finance has issued a ‘Pension Facilitation Order 2020’ to reduce the suffering, stating that “the pension will be paid into the bank account of the pensioner within three working days of the submission of the bill.”

To get this facility, provision has been made to submit several new documents. These forms and documents are available on the website of the Finance Division. The Ministry of Finance issued a notification in this regard last March.

Republishing as gazette notification recently, it said that as per Section 4.09 of the ‘Government Employees Pension Facilitation Order 2020’ pension application forms, certificates and documents have been prepared in revised form for the application of family members of retired government officials.

These are — Expected Last Pay Certificate (ELPC) (Annexure-1), Valid Heir Declaration of Pension Received (Annexure-2), Certificate of Inheritance and Non-Marriage Certificate (Annexure-3), Pension Form 2.1 (Annexure-4) Family Pension Form 2.2 (Annexure-5), Sample Signature and Five Fingerprints (Annexure-6), Certificate of Empowerment and Parental Nomination for Withdrawal of Rewards and Retirement (Annexure-6) and Non-Claim Certificate (Annexure-8).

The printing of these eight types of forms, certificates and papers is in process. Currently, these forms, certificates and documents can be downloaded from the Finance Division (website). In such a situation, all concerned are requested to use the forms, certificates and documents mentioned in the ‘Government Employees Pension Facilitation Order 2020’ for disposal of pension applications.
