TikTok makes teenagers’ accounts more private
TikTok accounts of teenagers’ will now be more private by default, the authority of TikTok said on Wednesday.
TikTok said that they are updating the default settings for users aged 13 to 15. Only users who they add as friends will be able to view their videos. In addition, their accounts won’t be suggested to other users.
Users will not be able to comment on these teenagers’ videos despite they make their account public. Users between 13 and 15 will only be able to allow their friends to comment on their videos.
TikTok has been regularly adding more privacy controls for teenagers’ accounts over the past year. Earlier, TikTok disabled direct messaging for users below 16.
