Online application for RU admission starts on March 7
Rajshahi University authorities will open online applications for undergraduate admission tests of the 2020-21 academic session on March 7 and will continue until March 18. The university administration has decided to conduct the test in three shifts in three units. A total of 45,000 students will get the opportunity to sit for the test in each Unit.
These decisions were taken at a meeting of the committee on admission test at the Shaheed Tajuddin Uddin Ahmed Senate building of the university on Tuesday morning. University Vice Chancellor Professor M Abdus Sobhan told this to reporters after the meeting.
He said that although the admission tests were conducted in written form in the past, this year the examinations will be held in the MCQ system only. Students who have passed Higher Secondary (HSC) in 2020 will be able to sit for the examination. Admission test will be held in three units. Each unit will be tested in three separate shifts and 15,000 candidates will sit for the test in each shift.
The Vice-Chancellor further said that the merit order will be sorted on the basis of the marks obtained in the Higher Secondary Examination. A total of 1,35,000 students with 45,000 in each unit will be selected to take part in the admission test this time.
The initial application will run from March 7 to March 18 while the final application will run from March 23 to March 31. The initial application fee has been fixed at Tk 50 and Tk 1000 for the final application. The admission committee will decide the date of the examination later.
